Aberdyfi Food Festival - Aberdyfi Community Council
Defying the elements
The Aberdyfi Food Festival on Saturday 20th August was, once again, a huge success, despite the appalling weather. As the storm clouds gathered, a decision was made to move the venue from the Wharf and seek the relative shelter of the Community Playing Field. To the credit of all those who paid to set up a stall, they all turned up on the day, and declared it a resounding  commercial success. The cooking demonstrations were once again led by our local Michelin star chef Gareth ward from Ynyshir hall, and also featured the team from the Penhelig Arms.                                                                                                                                  Our thanks to all those who helped make the day such a success but special thanks to Rhiannon, Eirlys and Jane for all their work - without their efforts the Festival would not happen. Here’s to next year’s event.
